That's right! I'll be going to this year's Gatecon from July 8-11 in Vancouver, BC, Canada! Awesome, right?! Words cannot express how excited I am to be going!

However, what is sad about this whole event is that it will be Gatecon's last convention. What is up with that?! Although they haven't said the exact reason, I am guessing the creators of the Gatecon decided to shut down the convention because 1. financial issues and 2. it's a very small convention (not to say that it's poor quality, mind you).

The whole issue agitates me to a point because not only are good conventions ceasing to exist, but so are excellent tv shows. It's ridiculously disappointing! I mean, I can't tell you the numerous times I've come across a television series that is cut off too soon, and fans are aching for more information on why this happened or what happened to make this event happen. Sometimes, we are left hanging dry!!! And what for?!
